OpenAI DevDay 2026 Unveils 25 Updates, GPT-6.1 Sol, Dots Agent, Codex Upgrades
At DevDay 2026 in San Francisco, OpenAI announced 25 updates across ChatGPT, Codex, GPT-6 models, and APIs, including the new always-on agent Dots and the GPT-6.1 Sol model. OpenAI stated GPT-6.1 Sol's performance on agentic coding, computer use, and professional work is close to GPT-6 Astra, but its API input and output token prices are only one-fifth of Astra's. The company also reopened its $200-per-month Pro plan, introduced a $500-per-month Pro 500 tier, and launched features like ChatGPT Space, Sign in with ChatGPT, and an Ultrafast speed option for faster model responses.
