OpenAI announced on Friday a price cut of over 20% for its frontier model GPT-5.6 Sol, applying to both API usage and credits, effective for the next three months. The new rates are $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens. The reduction is set to last until at least November 21, and GPT-5.6 is also now available in OpenAI's coding agent Kiro.
