OpenAI launches Dots always-on agents with GPT-6 Astra, ChatGPT Space workspace
At its DevDay keynote on September 29, 2026, OpenAI announced Dots, always-on AI agents powered by the GPT-6 Astra model, each with its own cloud computer to access a web browser and over 4,000 apps. Dots are available to Pro, Business Premium, and Enterprise users, can be messaged via ChatGPT, Slack, and Microsoft Teams, with a waitlist for iMessage and RCS on Android. OpenAI also introduced ChatGPT Space, a collaborative workspace for users, ChatGPT, and Dots, and said Plus and Pro subscribers can use their plan allowance with 16 launch partners via Sign in with ChatGPT.
